Balloon Decor 101: Everything You Should Know About Displays

It’s no secret that most people aren’t familiar with the ins and outs of balloon decor. As balloon artists, it’s our job to guide our customers through finding a display that fits their vision. Still, we thought it would be valuable to go over some of the most common display types to ease the confusion of finding inspiration. Take out your notebooks, folks, class is in session!

Balloon Arch

Arches are one of the most common balloon displays you’ll see when looking for inspiration. They are typically used at the entrance of venues for guests to walk underneath, which also makes them one of the largest displays. If you’re hoping to draw attention to your venue’s entrance (and it has the space capability), an arch might be right for you!

Balloon Garland

Garlands are probably our most common display at Party on Butler. They are by far the most versatile, able to be placed along walls, in corners, beside doors, along fences, and so much more. The options are honestly endless! Adding to the versatility, garlands typically range anywhere from 8 to 24 feet customizable to your space.

Balloon Wall

Compared to arches and garlands, balloon walls are typically a lot more intricate and detailed. People often use them as photo backdrops, and sometimes add custom messages using either balloon foil letters or simple hanging letters.

Balloon Backdrop

Balloon backdrops are a happy medium between garlands and balloon walls. They are used similarly to balloon walls in that they’re commonly used as photo backdrops and focal points for the event, but the balloons wrap around the top and side of the backdrop garland-style. Backdrop shapes can range from circles to squares to arch panels, and the middles can be open, solid, or somewhere in between.

Balloon Tower

Balloon towers are stacked rows of balloons that form a column, typically with a jumbo balloon at the top. They can be used as welcome balloons at your entrance as well as anywhere inside your event that you see fit. The jumbo balloon at the top is a great opportunity to showcase a company logo or another custom message.

Jumbo Helium

A jumbo helium balloon is exactly what you’d think it is - a jumbo helium balloon! Our customers often order them in addition to a regular bundle of helium balloons, and they’re great for displaying custom messages. A welcome sign or a company logo is sure to catch your guest’s attention on a jumbo balloon hanging in front of them!
